This is a post to show you guys what I've been up to. I've been throwing myself into the polish making world, following that popular trend right now. I just can't help it, I find it relaxing, like I'm creating some sort of art concoction by just mixing until I get things just right. I've decided to stop just messing around with it and actually start focusing more on "recipes", no more using real polish to mix and create "frankens", I've started only using base, pigments, and glitter, basically making it all my own as much as that could be said. Eventually, I hope to one day be able to maybe sell these in hopes that someone will love them as much as I do, but who knows. For now, they're just my pastime. Here are the polishes I've stirred up lately.
I haven't named any of them yet, that part always stumps me.
This one has a very visible purple shimmer on the nail in person, not so much in photo. 2 coats.
Shimmer shifts from green to gold
2 coats
2 coats on it's own, then 1 coat over black
2 coats on it's own
So what do you think? I'm trying to do a variety and not just stick to 1 type. Which is your favorite? Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Sandy

ReplyDeleteI love them! My favorite is the third one! I like 3,4,5,7,&8! You should name them by what you think the first time you see them complete or ask us and pick your favorite!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of the yellow one - but I think that's more personal preference than anything.
ReplyDelete#1 I'd buy by the bucketload!
I'll take one of the green glitter, one of the yellow with black hex glitter, and all of the holos. Let me know when you're ready to send an invoice. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Love these! Especially #1 and #2! The first one could be called It's Not Easy Being Green. And there is something very retro about #2, the pink and black, maybe something like Retro Spot Hop (get it? like a sock hop?) Just my ideas! :)

ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you get your mixing supplies at. I've been frankening with all existing polishes because I'm not sure where to find the right stuff. It's fun but not as good as creating something all yourself completely from scratch like you said. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I really hope I'll be able to purchase these soon! They are all so gorgeous! (Especially loving that yellow with black glitter)
