TKB Star Bites First Impression

I ran across a blog a while back while looking for information on spectra flair and what I found was what is now one of my favorite reads. More Nail Polish is an awesome blogger who frequently does posts using her own frankens made with spectraflair and/or color morphing powders. The pictures are amazing and she's the reason I found the following.

I got spectraflair a few months back and while I was ecstatic, I was also frustrated with the settling of the spectra, after a few days it basically needed to be shaken up because everything had settled. I also tried to make a glittery franken but that turned out a separated mess. I decided to do some research and upon finding More Nail Polish  I also found TKB Trading...what a treasure chest!!! I purchased some awesome Micas called Star Bites AND some suspension polish base, no more separation!! I got my order today and I quickly made some top coats using the Star Bites. Can I say love? Goodbye CND Effects!

This is a quick shot of each of the three Star Bites in Suspension base over black polish.

Top to bottom: Miranda Star, Cherika Moon, Shanira Sun

This was a super quick shot using my camera phone under artificial light tonight, I need to take better shots tomorrow in the sun because OH MY is the color shift in these amazing!!

Color Club Foiled

Today I decided to swatch the Color Club Foiled collection that I got a while back, I know Beyond the Mistletoe is probably more suiting but I'm sure you're seeing a lot of that right now so I decided to do this instead. These all applied extremely well and most really only needed one coat. They also made me realize how tough it is to clean up metallics. Little tiny shimmer everywhere!! Regardless, the colors were amazing.

China Glaze Eye Candy Swatch Video

Hello all! So I finally got my hands on the Eye Candy glitters, and although I hate to just reroute you over to a video I felt like you needed to see these babies in the bottle while they're moving and while they're being swatched. So if you care to see the application on these, enjoy!

Zoya Cheryl & Fall Mani

I was searching for a good base to do a fall leaves manicure when my eyes fell on Cheryl, perfect! I hadn't even swatched her so even better. Here she is in all her glory!

Once my base was completely dried up I did some really quick sponging using China Glaze's Westside Warrior followed by very light stamping with Kleancolor Metallic Yellow for a slight golden touch on the green. For stamping on the green I used Konad Black with BM 19, for the leaves I used BM 19 with Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Lightening, followed by Kleancolor Metallic Orange.

Check out the tutorial video below.
